The talented individuals behind the LED Resin Cube project
Our team combines expertise in electronics, programming, and design to create the interactive LED Resin Cube. Each member brought unique skills that made this project possible.
Parker Ackerknecht
Team Lead
Parker effectively managed the team and ensured all development schedules were on track to meet the numerous deadlines that we faced. Their expertise in electrical engineering allowed us to develop a functional system.
Soldering and PCB design were critical to our success which Parker took into their own hands to create the circuits needed for the project.
Prakash Gurung
Hardware Lead
Prakash designed and implemented the power circuit for the resin and the wand. He was able to combine wireless charging with a robust power delivery system to ensure all electronics received adequate power in the block.
His systems are able to function without user input and have built in safety features to prevent overheating of the cube.
Alec Steiner DeGraaf
Software Lead
Alec lead the software development for the cube. He created the LED animations and the tracking and gesture recogniton algorithm for the cube.
His expertise in Python and Linux allowed him to successfully make the Raspberry Pi function as the controller of the resin cube and ensure the signal integrity of the IR system.
